The 22nd of May arrived too fast, with complications during the making process, I had to unfortunately exhibit only the leg piece as the chest was still drying after several repairs and the sheer weight of the top piece, which bent the lower framework.
We create a Facebook event page to help with spreading the news - https://www.facebook.com/events/733685856816101/

We had a very good turn out with many visitors and tutors

I used the flowers to cover the framework and laced it through the legs, then trailed them up into the ceiling to create a floating effect. Nevertheless, I had some interesting both good and constructive feedback during the exhibition. The piece still depicted the message I was projecting and had some interesting conversations with fellow students on their interpretations.

Tutors attended the show and we spent a long while discussing their interpretations and questions. I have a tendency to purposely place each flower, each petal, in a particular order, but one tutor, Paul Cox, took some flowers out of my hand and said to me 'what if you just scatter them aimlessly' and then threw them on the floor in front of the sculpture. So I did and this made me feel both helpless but also empowered. If we think about our bodies and how we do not always have control over it in certain ways, is it not easier to let go, rather than holding onto that rope of control that binds us? Sometimes we find beauty in the flaws.
I did however document the full sculpture and digitally reconstructed it to my intentions (See Post-exhibition construction blog post for full piece)
